Blood Incantation from Denver, Colorado have systematically dismantled death metal orthodoxy since their 2011 formation, forging a unique cosmic vision that transcends genre boundaries. Starspawn (2016) on Dark Descent Records established Blood Incantation as technically proficient death metal practitioners who seamlessly wove cosmic themes into brutal precision. Pete DeBoer's production captured their characteristic blend of technical brilliance and organic heaviness perfectly.

Hidden History of the Human Race (2019) marked an evolutionary leap for the Coloradans. Released on Century Media Records, the album presented four epic compositions that fused death metal with progressive and psychedelic elements. The 18-minute title track proved Blood Incantation's commitment to extended arrangements, while tracks like "The Giza Power Plant" reinforced their obsession with alternative history theories and cosmic mysteries.

The pandemic years unleashed a creative explosion. In 2022, Blood Incantation surprised with Timewave Zero, a fully ambient-oriented album that demonstrated their versatility beyond extreme music. This Century Media Records release showcased their ability to craft atmospheric soundscapes that were simultaneously meditative and unsettling. 2024's Absolute Elsewhere represents their most ambitious work – two 22-minute suites recorded at Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios with producer Arthur Rizk, seamlessly integrating ambient, progressive rock, and Kosmische Musik into their death metal matrix. The accompanying documentary "All Gates Open" captured the month-long recording process, while its soundtrack album reveals the pastoral ambient compositions that preceded their recent creative surge.
