Lovebites

LOVEBITES emerged from Japan in 2016 as an all-female heavy metal powerhouse, quickly establishing themselves as one of the most technically proficient acts in contemporary metal. The band masterfully blends classic NWOBHM influences with modern power metal precision, earning international recognition for their sophisticated instrumental prowess.

The original lineup featuring bassist miho, vocalist asami, guitarists midori and miyako, and drummer haruna crafted a distinctive sound combining melodic structures with aggressive riffing. Their debut EP The LOVEBITES EP (2017) immediately showcased the musicians' technical competency, followed by the studio album Awakening from Abyss (2017), which established the band as a serious force in international metal circles.

Clockwork Immortality (2018) and Electric Pentagram (2020) solidified LOVEBITES reputation as masters of complex arrangements and dual guitar harmonies. These albums, recorded in prestigious Japanese studios, demonstrated continuous stylistic evolution from classic heavy metal toward more progressive structures. In August 2021, founding member miho departed, leading to a temporary hiatus.

The comeback arrived in October 2022 with new bassist fami, who seamlessly integrated into the established sound aesthetic. Judgement Day (2022) marked a fresh beginning while demonstrating the band's undiminished creative force. The current lineup continues the tradition of technically demanding compositions, cementing LOVEBITES position as leading representatives of modern Japanese heavy metal.
