LACRIMOSA · Nachts (+12 Page Booklet) | DCD

Double CD.

Background information about 'Nachts (+12 Page Booklet)'

There is a moment in the career of Lacrimosa when the symphonic grandeur meets the raw, unfiltered pulse of the night. With Nachts, Tilo Wolff and his collaborators deliver a masterclass in atmospheric dark wave that feels both timeless and urgently contemporary. This double album is not just a collection of songs; it is a journey through the labyrinthine corridors of emotion, where every note is steeped in melancholy and every lyric pierces the soul with poetic precision. The orchestral arrangements swell like tides, crashing against the shore of intimate vocals, creating a soundscape that is as haunting as it is beautiful.

From the opening strains of Lacrimosa Theme to the final, echoing notes of Tränen der Existenzlosigkeit, the album unfolds with a cinematic intensity that demands your full attention. Tracks like Liebe über Leben and Kelch der Liebe showcase the band’s ability to weave classical instrumentation with modern electronic textures, resulting in a rich, layered experience. The bilingual approach, seamlessly blending German and English, adds another dimension to the narrative, allowing the music to transcend language barriers and speak directly to the heart. This is Lacrimosa at their most powerful, offering a sonic refuge for those who find beauty in the shadows.
