Limited edition deluxe 5 CD box set featuring Mötley Crüe's first five multi-platinum albums (Too Fast For Love, Shout At The Devil, Theatre Of Pain, Girls, Girls, Girls, and Dr. Feelgood) including all their greatest hits to celebrate the band's 45th anniversary.

Background information about 'Crücial Crüe (45th Anniversary)'

Mötley Crüe did not so much arrive as detonate. Formed in the sun-bleached sprawl of Los Angeles in 1981, the quartet of Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee took the glamour of the Sunset Strip and dragged it through the gutter, then back up onto the stage. This 45th anniversary box gathers five remastered records that trace the whole glorious arc: the raw, hungry debut "Too Fast for Love", the leather-clad menace of "Shout at the Devil", the swaggering "Theatre of Pain", the bluesy strut of "Girls, Girls, Girls" and finally the polished, arena-sized "Dr. Feelgood". Every one of them remastered for 2021, every one of them still smelling faintly of hairspray and cheap whiskey.

What strikes you on a listen like this is how much range hides behind the mascara. "Live Wire" and "Piece of Your Action" are pure adrenaline, all downstrokes and sneer. Then "Home Sweet Home" arrives, and suddenly the band that built its name on debauchery shows a genuinely tender side, a piano ballad that still fills stadiums decades later. "Kickstart My Heart" remains one of the most gloriously stupid, gloriously effective riffs ever committed to tape. The remasters are crisp without sanding off the grit; the low end punches, the cymbals sizzle, and Vince Neil's voice sits right where it should.

Five discs, five albums, one of the defining runs in hard rock. If you grew up with these songs, this is the version to own. If you did not, consider this your invitation to the party that never really ended.
