Background information about 'X'

Three decades of Swedish melodic metal mastery culminate in "X", Narnia's triumphant tenth studio album that marks both their 30th anniversary and a bold new chapter in their storied career. While 2023's "Ghost Town" reaffirmed their melodic metal foundations, "X" expands the sonic landscape with remarkable confidence, seamlessly weaving arena-ready anthems with adventurous progressive passages that never lose sight of the band's unmistakable identity.

The album showcases Narnia's remarkable versatility across its ten tracks. Songs like "Oceanwide", "Every Breath", and "Heaven's Calling" demonstrate the band's gift for crafting irresistible hooks and soaring melodies, while the high-octane "Remedy (SOS)" pushes the tempo into exhilarating new territory. Meanwhile, tracks such as "God Under Fire" and "Jerusalem" explore more complex arrangements and progressive textures that reveal new layers with each listen. The album benefits from multiple lead vocalists sharing the spotlight, with CJ Grimmark and Jonatan "Jono" Samuelsson stepping forward on select tracks to add fresh vocal colors, while Christian Liljegren's distinctive voice continues to define the band's signature sound. "The Man from Nazareth Pt. II" serves as a thrilling continuation of a fan favorite from 2006's "Enter the Gate", while "The War that Tore the Land (Reprise)" offers a reflective callback to 2019's "From Darkness to Light".
