Background information about 'Warning Of Danger'
Omen struck lightning twice with "Warning Of Danger", their explosive 1985 follow-up that cemented their status as American heavy metal royalty. This is where the Los Angeles quintet truly found their groove, delivering a collection of tracks that balance crushing power with melodic sophistication. From the thunderous opening title track to the serpentine mystique of "Ruby Eyes (Of The Serpent)", every song showcases the band's evolution into a more refined yet equally devastating force.
The album's genius lies in its dynamic range - "March On" pounds with relentless determination while "Don't Fear The Night" weaves atmospheric tension before exploding into pure metal mayhem. J.D. Kimball's soaring vocals reach new heights of power and precision, perfectly complemented by Kenny Powell's razor-sharp guitar work that cuts through the mix like a blade through silk. The rhythm section of Jody Henry and Steve Wittig provides an unshakeable foundation that drives these anthems forward with unstoppable momentum.
