Background information about 'From Birth To Death'
The convergence of doom legends creates something truly devastating with Sun Dont Shine's debut masterpiece "From Birth To Death". This isn't just another supergroup cash-grab – it's four titans of heavy music channeling decades of crushing experience into something genuinely earth-shaking. Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative/Silvertomb) delivers his most haunting vocal performance yet, while Kirk Windstein (Crowbar/Down) unleashes riffs that could level buildings. The rhythm section of Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative/Silvertomb) and Todd Strange (Crowbar/Down) provides the thunderous foundation this monument of doom deserves.
Produced by Duane Simoneaux at OCD Studios, this 2026 release represents a "next level up" in songwriting that's darker and more versatile than anything these musicians have created before. Tracks like "Cryptomesia" and "When It's Time To Leave" showcase the band's ability to blend crushing weight with atmospheric depth, while "Black To Red" delivers the kind of apocalyptic heaviness that made their previous bands legendary. This is raw, unfiltered doom that rejects polish in favor of pure emotional devastation.
