Background information about 'Abysmal'

The Black Dahlia Murder's "Abysmal" is a tempestuous dive into the essence of melodic death metal. Released in 2015, this album showcases the band’s unparalleled brutality intertwined with technical precision. Each track is a relentless pursuit of sheer intensity, marrying Trevor Strnad's guttural growls with blistering guitar work that oscillates between soaring harmonies and visceral riffage. Songs like "Receipt" and "Vlad, Son of the Dragon" stand out as testaments to their craft, seamlessly blending speed with melody. The rhythm section provides a punishing backbone that propels the album forward with unyielding momentum.

"Abysmal" further cements The Black Dahlia Murder as a formidable force within the metal realm. Its intricate compositions are a testament to their evolution and mastery over their genre. With lyrical themes exploring darkness and introspection, the album invites listeners on a harrowing yet exhilarating journey. This release is an essential listen for those who seek the perfect amalgamation of melody and ferocity.
