Background information about 'Redneck Vikings From Hell'
Aether Realm have been keeping fans guessing since day one - are these guys from the States or straight out of the frozen Finnish mountains? With Redneck Vikings From Hell, their Napalm Records debut, the North Carolina crew finally answers that question with a resounding "both, and then some." This is melodic death metal that refuses to sit still, and honestly, that's exactly what makes it so damn exciting.
Each of the 11 tracks carves out its own identity. The title track opens things up with banjo-laden folk metal theatrics that lean hard into their southern roots, while the arena-ready stomper Goodbye and the relentless thrash charge of Lean Into the Wind show a band firing on all cylinders. Hunger hits like a powerful anthem you didn't know you needed, and Slave to the Riff delivers symphonic brutality with a grin. But it's the closer Craft and the Creator that really seals the deal - hair-raising leads, flawless technical execution, and a sense of ambition that makes you sit up and pay attention. Colossal orchestral layers tie the whole thing together, lifting the album to heights this band hadn't reached before. Don't let the cheeky title fool you - this is serious business, delivered with serious chops.
