Background information about 'Live Prey'
Live Prey captures the raw intensity and atmospheric depth of Ahab's live performances, presenting five evocative tracks that showcase the band's mastery of funeral doom metal. Recorded across USA and Europe and released on black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, the album offers fans a visceral experience steeped in the band's signature melancholic melodies and crushingly slow tempos. The single-sided LP features etched artistry on the non-playing side, enhancing its collectible appeal.
The tracklist, including highlights such as "Below The Sun," "The Pacific," and "The Hunt," unfolds with an immersive grandeur, reflecting the band's nautical themes and profound lyrical content.
