The album's conceptual framework draws heavily from maritime literature and deep-sea exploration, with tracks like "Prof. Arronax's descent into the vast oceans" and "Mobilis in mobili" paying homage to Jules Verne's classic Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
