This latest offering finds the band diving even deeper into their nautical obsessions, crafting seven sprawling compositions that ebb and flow like tidal movements. The album's conceptual framework draws heavily from maritime literature and deep-sea exploration, with tracks like "Prof. Arronax's descent into the vast oceans" and "Mobilis in mobili" paying homage to Jules Verne's classic Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

The sonic landscape Ahab creates here is both crushing and beautiful, with massive, droning guitar passages that seem to stretch endlessly like ocean horizons. The rhythm section provides the steady pulse of deep currents while ethereal clean passages surface like brief glimpses of sunlight penetrating the abyss.
