After the massive success of "Pawns & Kings" which dominated the charts in 2022, Alter Bridge returns with their self-titled eighth studio album that showcases the band at their absolute peak. The quartet - featuring Myles Kennedy on vocals and guitars, Mark Tremonti on guitars and vocals, Brian Marshall on bass, and Scott Phillips on drums - has crafted 12 tracks that represent some of their most iconic moments on record. The album opens with the crushing single "Silent Divide", where punchy palm-muted riffs shift into high gear while Myles delivers the haunting warning "Remember rage is blind." The energy continues with "Playing Aces", featuring upbeat riffing over propulsive drumbeats that build to an anthemic chorus.

What makes this album particularly special is the vocal interplay between Kennedy and Tremonti, especially evident on tracks like "Trust In Me" where they share duties, and "Tested And Able" which features one of the band's heaviest intros to date. The classically-inspired "Scales Are Falling" opens with clean guitar before building tension, while "Hang By A Thread" hints at the band's most beloved catalog cuts. The epic album closer "Slave To Master" stands as the longest song the quartet has ever recorded, showcasing their ability to create sprawling, emotional journeys. Recorded over two months in Spring 2025 at the legendary 5150 studio in California and producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette's Florida facility, this self-titled effort proves that after more than two decades together, Alter Bridge continues to push boundaries while delivering the memorable riffs and infectious melodies that made them legends.
