"Ruby Red" combines lamentations and introspective sorrow with powerful songwriting that generates both despair and hope. The album oscillates between dark themes such as pain, loss, empowerment, and mortality. Amber Asylum crafts intense soundscapes that are both raw and introspective. "Ruby Red" is composed of classical strings, bass, drums and percussion, modular synthesizers, and female vocals. Musically, Amber Asylum balances driving neoclassical elements against the raw power of pounding bass and drums, which create a strong rhythmic impact that contrasts beautifully with the quieter, more contemplative strings on "Ruby Red". Bass and drums provide a constant pulse that forms the foundation of the songs and lends intensity and depth to the dark moments of the album.
