Born from the fertile Austrian black metal scene that gave us Abigor and Summoning, Amestigon represents a crucial evolutionary branch of this distinctive movement. The album opens with the haunting "Challerian's Fall" and flows through mystical territories with tracks like the title piece "Mysterious Realms" and the epic "Stormlord", each piece dripping with medieval atmosphere and otherworldly darkness.

What makes this release particularly special is the involvement of key figures from Austria's black metal royalty - Tharen, who provided vocals on early Abigor demos, and Thurisaz, who later became Abigor's frontman, founded Amestigon in Vienna back in 1993.
