Amorphis

For over three decades, Amorphis have walked between worlds – between extreme metal and progressive finesse, between Finnish folklore and universal human experiences. What began in 1990 as a death metal formation evolved into one of Northern European metal's most influential bands. Their ability to translate mythological narratives into modern soundscapes makes them true boundary-crossers of music history.

With Esa Holopainen as creative mastermind and Tomi Joutsen as the powerhouse frontman, Amorphis have developed a musical language that unites both the brutality of their death metal roots and the melancholic beauty of Nordic melody. Their music serves as a portal to forgotten worlds, carried by Pekka Kainulainen's poetic lyrics drawn from the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala.

Borderland – The New Chapter
With "Borderland", Amorphis enter completely uncharted territory. After three successful albums with Jens Bogren, they took the bold leap to Jacob Hansen – a Danish producer whose portfolio perfectly reflects their experimental spirit. This collaboration promises another evolution of their already legendary discography while preserving their unmistakable DNA.
Kainulainen's new lyrics delve deep into the human psyche, exploring how our ancestors survived times of death and destruction. "Borderland" positions itself as a bridge between past and future – an album that celebrates both humility and strength in equal measure.
