Kreator

Kreator stands as one of the undisputed pioneers and architects of German thrash metal, whose uncompromising brutality and technical perfection have defined the extreme metal scene for over four decades. Founded in 1982 by Mille Petrozza in Essen, the formation evolved from raw beginnings as Tormentor into one of the most influential and enduring institutions in German metal.

The early classics Endless Pain (1985) and Pleasure to Kill (1986) established Kreator as one of the "Big Four" of the German thrash metal movement alongside Destruction, Sodom, and Tankard. Milos "Mille" Petrozza's characteristic razor-sharp riff architecture and distinctive vocal delivery fundamentally shaped the sound of an entire generation. Progressive development through works like Terrible Certainty (1987) and the monumental Coma of Souls (1990) demonstrated the continuous evolution of their compositional abilities. After more experimental phases in the 90s, Kreator returned to their thrash roots with Violent Revolution (2001), initiating a renaissance that continues to this day.

With the upcoming sixteenth studio album Krushers Of The World (January 2026) via Nuclear Blast Records, Kreator continues their unparalleled career, characterized by constant willingness to innovate while maintaining their artistic integrity.
