With their sophomore album "Dreaming The Strife For Love," the Italian band Bedsore dives headfirst into the progressive warmth and obscure atmospheres of the 70s. Inspired by the mysterious Renaissance book "Hypnerotomachia Poliphili," the album musically weaves concepts of love as a battlefield where desire and devotion are tested through trials and spiritual awakenings—with visions of pagan temples, mystical gardens, and arcane symbols.

A burgeoning and operatic aura surrounds "Dreaming The Strife For Love," from its lengthy compositions and spacious production to its extravagant and diverse instrumentation, which includes 12-string guitars, abundant synthesizers, Mellotron and organs, fretless bass, drums, and horns; the album's dynamic range encompasses key elements of the sublime imagination of prog-rock. While Bedsore's progressive side has been given much more room to unfold, their Death Metal roots remain present in their DNA. Jacopo Gianmaria Pepe's tortured screams thread through the album like a scarlet thread, while manic Dark-Death and Blackened-Metal riffs integrate more skillfully than ever before. The result is an album that does not feel like two separate albums in one but offers coherence for both forms to create a surreal, reality-altering immersion that is entirely its own.
