Background information about 'Instruments Of Torture'

Brodequin returns with their crushing opus "Instruments Of Torture", a brutal testament to the band's uncompromising vision of extreme death metal. This album showcases the band's signature approach to medieval torture themes wrapped in devastatingly heavy soundscapes that feel both ancient and utterly modern. The twelve tracks here are like a guided tour through humanity's darkest historical chapters, with songs like "The Virgin of Nuremberg" and "Duke of Exeter" painting vivid sonic pictures of historical brutality. The production is crisp yet maintains that raw edge that makes each riff feel like it's cutting through flesh and bone.

What really stands out is how Brodequin manages to balance technical prowess with sheer brutality - tracks like "Spinning in Agony" and "Strappado" demonstrate their ability to craft memorable hooks within the chaos. The inclusion of a Dead Infection cover ("The Anatomical Deeps") shows their respect for the underground death metal scene while proving they can make any song their own. The album clocks in at just over 26 minutes, making it a perfect burst of concentrated violence that never overstays its welcome.
