Background information about 'None So Live (Re-Release)'
When Cryptopsy unleashed "None So Live" in 2003, they delivered what many consider the definitive live death metal album of the millennium. Captured during a crushing 2002 Montreal performance, this sonic bulldozer showcases the Canadian technical death metal masters at their most ferocious. With then-new vocalist Martin Lacroix commanding the stage and the legendary Flo Mounier behind the kit, this recording represents a pivotal moment in extreme metal history.
The setlist reads like a greatest hits compilation spanning their most celebrated albums - from the brutal classics of "None So Vile" and "Blasphemy Made Flesh" to the technical wizardry of "Whisper Supremacy". The energy is absolutely electric, with each track delivered with surgical precision yet maintaining that raw, unhinged intensity that makes live metal so compelling. Flo Mounier's drum solo alone is worth the price of admission - a masterclass in technical prowess that has become legendary among metal drumming circles.
