Background information about 'GRAND MORBID FUNERAL'

Bloodbath returns with a vengeance on this exclusive clear vinyl pressing of their devastating 2014 opus "Grand Morbid Funeral". This Stockholm death metal juggernaut — featuring members from Katatonia, Opeth, and Paradise Lost — delivers their darkest and most organic collection of brutality to date. Recorded at Ghost Ward Studios and City of Glass Studios with mixing by David Castillo, this album eschews the over-produced sheen of modern death metal in favor of something altogether more rotten to the bone.

What makes "Grand Morbid Funeral" truly exceptional is its perfect marriage of doom-laden melodies with savage, unrelenting riffage. The album features guest appearances from Autopsy legends Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler, adding an extra layer of gore-soaked authenticity to tracks like "Let the Stillborn Come to Me" and the haunting title track. From the mental devastation of "Mental Abortion" to the crushing finale, this is Bloodbath at their most uncompromising — a filth-ridden journey straight from the grave that marked a new high-point of brutality for the band.
