Background information about 'Skin Her Alive'
"Skin Her Alive" by Dismember is a visceral blast from the past, capturing the raw intensity of Swedish Death Metal's golden era. Originally released in 1991, this EP embodies all the elements that made Dismember a titan in the metal scene—relentless drumming, razor-sharp riffs, and guttural vocals that cut through the noise like a scythe. The tracks are a testament to the band's unyielding ferocity and unapologetic embrace of the genre's darker themes. With its reissue, "Skin Her Alive" remains as potent and compelling as ever, a must-have for both long-time fans and newcomers alike.
This pressing not only resurrects the brutal soundscapes of the early '90s but also enhances them with modern mastering techniques by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony. The cover art, meticulously restored by César Valladares, complements the auditory assault with visuals that are just as haunting and evocative. "Skin Her Alive" is more than just an EP; it's a historical artifact that continues to influence the Death Metal genre decades after its initial release.
All three songs have been remastered by Patrick W. Engel.
Cover artwork has been exclusively restored by César Valladares.
