Background information about 'Exitivm'
Pestilence returns with a vengeance on "Exitivm", delivering their most punishing and technically proficient death metal assault in years. This Dutch death metal institution proves once again why they're considered pioneers of the genre, crafting twelve tracks of unrelenting brutality that showcase both their legendary songwriting prowess and their evolution into even more extreme territories. From the ominous intro "In Omnibvs" to the devastating closer "Personatvs Mortem", every moment of this album screams with the kind of precision and ferocity that only decades of experience can forge.
The album's Latin-titled tracks aren't just stylistic flourishes – they represent a conceptual journey through themes of death, dominion, and destruction that Patrick Mameli and his crew execute with surgical precision. Songs like "Morbvs Propagationem" and "Deificvs" showcase the band's ability to blend technical death metal complexity with crushing groove sections that'll leave you breathless. The production is crisp yet maintains that raw edge that makes every blast beat and tremolo-picked riff cut through like a blade.
