Black vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

Background information about 'Exitivm'

Dutch death metal legends Pestilence return with their crushing ninth studio album "Exitivm", delivering a masterclass in technical brutality that showcases why they remain one of the genre's most influential forces. The album sees mastermind Patrick Mameli continuing his relentless pursuit of sonic extremity, weaving Latin-titled tracks that explore themes of destruction and mortality with the band's signature blend of progressive technicality and old-school death metal savagery. From the atmospheric intro "In Omnibvs" to the devastating closer "Personatvs Mortem", each composition demonstrates the band's evolution while honoring their legendary status in the extreme metal pantheon.

The production on "Exitivm" strikes that perfect balance between modern clarity and raw aggression, allowing every intricate riff and thunderous blast beat to cut through with surgical precision. Mameli's guitar work remains as inventive as ever, incorporating jazz-fusion influences and dissonant harmonies that have become Pestilence trademarks, while the rhythm section provides an unrelenting foundation that drives these compositions into truly devastating territory. This is essential listening for anyone who appreciates death metal at its most sophisticated and uncompromising.
