Background information about 'Exitivm'

Dutch death metal legends Pestilence return with their ninth studio offering "Exitivm", a Latin-titled masterpiece that showcases the band's relentless evolution while honoring their legendary status in the extreme metal pantheon. Patrick Mameli's vision reaches new heights of brutality and sophistication, delivering twelve tracks of punishing death metal that feels both nostalgically familiar and refreshingly modern. The album opens with the atmospheric "In Omnibvs" before unleashing a torrent of technical precision and raw aggression that defines modern Pestilence.

The production on "Exitivm" strikes the perfect balance between clarity and heaviness, allowing every intricate riff and thunderous blast beat to cut through with surgical precision. From the crushing momentum of "Morbvs Propagationem" to the apocalyptic finale "Exitivm", this album proves that Pestilence remains at the forefront of death metal innovation. The Latin song titles add an air of ancient mysticism to the modern brutality, creating an atmosphere that's both scholarly and savage. This is death metal crafted by masters of the genre, executed with the kind of passion and precision that only comes from decades of dedication to the art of extremity.
