Background information about 'Putrid Death Sorcery'
Necrowretch delivers an absolutely crushing testament to old-school death metal brutality with "Putrid Death Sorcery". This French quartet has crafted something genuinely sinister here – a relentless assault of putrid riffs and blasphemous atmospheres that feels like it crawled straight out of the early 90s underground scene. The production strikes that perfect balance between raw aggression and clarity, allowing every putrid note to slice through your speakers with surgical precision.
From the opening devastation of "Ripping Souls of Sinners" to the closing nightmare of "Repugnizer", this album never lets up. The band channels that classic Autopsy-meets-Incantation vibe while maintaining their own twisted identity. Tracks like "Goat-Headed" and "The Anthropomancer" showcase their ability to weave occult horror into devastating death metal compositions. The guitar work is absolutely vicious – those tremolo-picked passages will leave you breathless, while the rhythm section pounds like hammers on coffin nails. This is death metal that remembers its roots while pushing forward into darker territories.
