Background information about 'Levels of Perception'

Dutch death metal legends Pestilence return with a vengeance on "Levels of Perception", delivering a crushing collection of re-recorded classics that showcase the band's enduring brutality and technical prowess. This release serves as both a nostalgic journey through the band's storied catalog and a testament to their continued relevance in the extreme metal scene. The twelve tracks featured here span various eras of Pestilence's evolution, from their early brutal death metal roots to their more progressive and technical phases, all given fresh life through modern production values while maintaining the raw intensity that made them legendary.

What makes this collection particularly compelling is how Pestilence has approached these re-recordings - they're not mere retreads but reimagined versions that benefit from decades of musical growth and refined songwriting. Tracks like "Twisted Truth" and "Land of Tears" hit with renewed force, while the technical complexity of pieces like "Mvlti Dimensional" and "Deificvs" showcases the band's ability to balance brutality with intricate musicianship. The production is crisp and powerful, allowing every blast beat, tremolo-picked riff, and growled vocal to cut through with devastating clarity.
