Product information "SLAUGHTERDAY · Dread Emperor | BLACK LP"

Black vinyl in standard cover with insert.

Background information about 'Dread Emperor'

Slaughterday unleash their most devastating assault yet with "Dread Emperor", a masterclass in old school death metal that'll leave you gasping for air in the best possible way. This sixth full-length from the German duo proves they've perfected their formula of cosmic horror-infused brutality, delivering crushing doom-laden passages that suddenly explode into calculated bursts of pure savagery. Every riff hits like a sledgehammer, every growl carries the weight of ancient terrors, and every song builds toward something genuinely terrifying.

What sets "Dread Emperor" apart isn't just the band's technical prowess – it's their brilliant use of H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic nightmares as metaphors for contemporary anxieties. The title track alone is a monument to controlled chaos, while "Astral Carnage" and "Obliteration Crusade" showcase the band's ability to balance crushing heaviness with infectious songwriting. The inclusion of a Protector cover ("Golem") feels like a natural extension of their sound rather than mere tribute. This is essential listening for anyone who believes death metal should be both punishing and intelligent.
