ELEPHANT TREE - Habits · ORANGE/WHITE MARBLED LP

Product information "ELEPHANT TREE - Habits · ORANGE/WHITE MARBLED LP"

Single pocket LP with printed insert pressed on orange and white marble vinyl.

ELEPHANT TREE make their long 'lost' third album "Habits" (2020) available again. After the release of "Habits" their label at the time got into trouble and the critically acclaimed release did not receive the ongoing support it deserved. The seed for ELEPHANT TREE was planted in a rehearsal space somewhere in the smelly back alleys of England's sleepless capital of London in 2013. There, the first notes of what would become the song 'Attack of the Altaica' sprang from the bass of Jack Townley and Sam Hart's drums. Thus, it is only fitting that this earliest demo became the opening track of the band's new rarities collection "Handful of Ten". The infectious blend of warm, syrupy fuzz and soaring vocal harmonies on the "Attack of the Altaica" demo soon led to contract and the debut full-length "Theia" was released in September 2014. The debut album received an excellent reception by critics and fans alike. Now reissued as "Theia" (Anniversary Edition), the music of this milestone remains untouched, but the artwork has been given a refreshing inversion, and a wealth of rare photos, liner notes and lyrics have been added to provide a thorough look at the band's first decade since the original release. The hardworking Englishmen did not rest on their laurels, and in 2015 followed up with the self-titled sophomore full-length "Elephant Tree". Looking back at ten most exciting years, ELEPHANT TREE celebrate this occasion with reissues of "Habits" and "Theia" as well as great tunes pulled from their archive alongside the brash and blistering new tracks under the title "Handful of Ten".

More about 'Oltretomba' The Italian word "Oltretomba" stands for the underworld but is also a tribute to the golden age of Italy's cinematic culture in the 70s and 80s with horror films by Fulci, Argento, Bava and the music of Morricone. The magical, strong-willed and at the same time obscure attraction is also inherent in the third album of THE OSSUARY. The album tells of the various abysses of the human being, sometimes touching occult realms. The quartet creates its own niche in hard rock, pairs the classic twin guitars with an earthy sound, classic rock elements with a certain proximity to the prog of the 70s are celebrated here with fresh power. Authenticity is placed above all common conventions. Once again, the Italians THE OSSUARY consistently pursue and refine their own ideal of songs that make the dead dance. And it is a damn cool party, on which "Oltretomba" takes us here. Volume on 11 and off goes the ride into the dust of a bizarre-morbid italo western... GREENLEAF - The Head & The Habit · DIGISLEEVE CD
Digisleeve CD. More about 'The Head & The Habit' With their ninth full-length "The Head & The Habit", Swedish heavy rockers GREENLEAF have reached the pinnacle of a long evolution. The musical handwriting and well-honed mastery of guitarist Tommi Holappa, who has been a pioneer and pillar of the European stoner rock scene for more than 25 years, shines clearly through. This is perfectly complemented by the soulfulness, intuitive sense of melody, and depth of character that the vocals of classically-trained singer Arvid Hällagård bring to the sound of GREENLEAF. Apart from world-class vocal lines and massive riffs with electric fuzz-power, GREENLEAF have put extra thought into the themes of "The Head & The Habit", which lift its lyrics far above much of the often cliché-ridden genre. As the album title implies, the new songs resemble symbolic short stories that revolve around emotional struggles and even mental illness. Written by the vocalist, the lyrics reflect real life experience as Hällagård works with people who suffer from problems with drug abuse and psychological health. Heavy rock afficionados GREENLEAF were initially formed as an informal project by friends that were already playing in other bands including such notable names as DOZER, LOWRIDER, and DEMON CLEANER. The Swedes simply wanted an outlet for their mutual love of '70s-era hard rock and proto-metal while being free from the expectations and pressures of their main bands. Despite intentions to keep GREENLEAF purely for pleasure, the undiluted joy of creating catchy songs led to everyone demanding for that material to be recorded. This eventually resulted in the release of a self-titled debut EP in 2000, which was quickly followed by first full-length "Revolution Rock" only a year later. Having turned from an on and off fling to a full-time love affair, the years of rotating line-ups ended and GREENLEAF's newfound focus and stability was crowned by their fifth album "Trails & Passes" (2014), which featured new permanent vocalist Arvid Hällagård. This milestone also marked the beginning of a new phase of the band. With "The Head & The Habit", GREENLEAF combine an awareness of past triumphs with mature craftsmanship, showcasing their confidence in how to rock stronger, harder, and more to the point than ever before. The Swedes melt thunderous riff-magic, enrapturing and soul-heavy vocals, frenetic rhythms and driving attacks into a ear-catching, sparkling alloy of hard rocking anthems!
