Background information about 'An Eternal Time Of Decay'
Swedish death metal veterans Entrails return with their crushing opus "An Eternal Time Of Decay", a relentless assault that showcases the band's mastery of old-school brutality. From the ominous intro that bears the album's title to the final notes of "Possessed", this collection delivers eleven tracks of uncompromising death metal that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly vicious. The production strikes that perfect balance between raw aggression and clarity, allowing every riff to cut through like a rusty blade while maintaining the gritty atmosphere that defines classic Swedish death metal.
Tracks like "Die To Death" and "Fear The End" demonstrate Entrails' ability to craft memorable hooks within their wall of distortion, while deeper cuts such as "Inverted Graveyard" and "Reborn In Worms" showcase their knack for creating genuinely unsettling atmospheres. The album flows seamlessly from one crushing moment to the next, with standout tracks like "Open Casket Feast" and "Autopsy" serving as perfect examples of how modern death metal can honor its roots while still feeling urgent and alive. This is death metal done right – no frills, no compromises just pure Swedish brutality.
