The Finns took what they'd built at the legendary Tico Tico Studio in Kemi and refined it into something that feels both cinematic and deeply personal. "Tears of Autumn Rain" alone is a masterclass in dynamics, with guest vocalists Miriam Renvåg (Ram-Zet) and Heidi Parviainen (Amberian Dawn) weaving ethereal beauty through the maelstrom of razor-sharp riffs. And then there's "Angelheart, Ravenheart (Act II: Children of the Dark Waters)" — a sequel that surpasses its predecessor, swelling with gothic melancholy and blast-beat fury in equal measure. The band taps into melodic black metal influences here without ever losing their identity, creating this gorgeous tension between sorrow and aggression that just works.

This is the first time this gem has ever been pressed to vinyl, and Svart Records are doing it right. Recorded in Kemi, mastered at the legendary Finnvox in Helsinki — this thing was born in Finnish soil and it sounds like it. The production is massive, every keyboard line and double-bass roll cutting through with clarity that 2009-era metal didn't always get right.
