Background information about 'Death Machine'
Exciter returns with a vengeance on "Death Machine", delivering their trademark speed metal assault with the precision of a well-oiled war machine. This Canadian trio has crafted nine tracks of pure metallic fury that showcase exactly why they've remained underground legends since the early 80s. From the opening title track's relentless double-bass barrage to the epic seven-minute closer "Skull Breaker", every moment crackles with that distinctive Exciter energy that bridges classic NWOBHM with early thrash sensibilities.
The production strikes that perfect balance between raw aggression and clarity, allowing Dan Beehler's thunderous drums and John Ricci's razor-sharp riffs to cut through the mix like molten steel. Tracks like "Hellfire" and "Power And Domination" demonstrate the band's ability to craft memorable hooks without sacrificing their uncompromising speed metal approach. The album flows seamlessly from the breakneck pace of "Dungeon Descendants" to the more methodical brutality of "Slaughtered In Vain", proving that Exciter's songwriting has only grown stronger with age.
