Background information about 'Kontakt'
FJORT strikes back with "Kontakt", their sophomore effort that pushes the boundaries between crushing post-hardcore and atmospheric post-rock into uncharted territory. This German powerhouse has crafted something truly special here – eleven tracks that seamlessly weave between bone-crushing heaviness and moments of breathtaking beauty. From the opening surge of "In Balance" to the haunting farewell of "Lebewohl", every single moment feels deliberately placed and emotionally charged.
The band's ability to shift from crushing riffs in tracks like "Anthrazit" and "Prestige" to the more contemplative passages found in "Belvedere" and "Mantra" showcases a maturity that's rare in the genre. The German lyrics add an extra layer of authenticity and raw emotion that cuts straight to the core. This isn't just another post-hardcore release – it's a journey through the darker corners of human experience, delivered with the kind of passion that makes you believe every single word.
