Background information about 'Above'
Code Orange's latest release, "The Above," is a sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of hardcore music. This album is a testament to the band's fearless experimentation with sound and texture. From the haunting opener "Never Far Apart" to the intense riffs of "Theatre Of Cruelty," the album captures an atmospheric depth rarely seen in the genre. Collaborating with Billy Corgan on "Take Shape," they inject a fresh dynamism, adding layers of complexity and emotion.
The band continues to redefine their soundscape with tracks like "The Mask Of Sanity Slips" and "A Drone Opting Out Of The Hive," exhibiting an uncanny ability to blend aggression with melodic elements. This limited edition cream vinyl not only offers an auditory experience but is encased in a beautifully crafted gatefold sleeve accompanied by a 12-inch booklet and poster, making it a must-have for any collector.
