Background information about 'Rotatives'
White Christ from San Antonio, Texas are not here to make friends. Their debut full length "Rotatives" is twelve songs in twenty minutes of pure, unfiltered hardcore punk rage that leaves zero room for breathing, let alone second-guessing. The band wastes no time on intros or build-ups — from the opening bars of "The State" it's clear this is a record built on speed, aggression, and an almost pathological refusal to slow down.
What makes "Rotatives" stand out in a genre that's often overcrowded with copycats is the sheer conviction behind every riff and every barked vocal. There's no posturing here, no genre-hopping experiments — just relentless, razor-sharp hardcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the chest. Tracks like "Trapped Like A Rat" and "Cold Sweates" showcase a band that has clearly studied the masters and distilled their essence into something urgent and vital. The production is raw without being sloppy, capturing the live energy of a band that sounds like they'd level a venue in under thirty minutes.
