Background information about 'This Heathen Land'
Green Lung returns with their most ambitious and captivating work yet on "This Heathen Land", a sonic journey that perfectly captures the band's evolution from promising upstarts to masters of their craft. This third full-length offering sees the London-based quartet diving deeper into their trademark blend of vintage doom, classic rock sensibilities, and occult-tinged atmosphere that has made them one of the most exciting acts in the contemporary heavy music scene.
The album showcases Green Lung's remarkable ability to weave together crushing riffs, haunting melodies, and mystical storytelling into something that feels both timeless and urgently modern. From the opening moments, listeners are transported into a world where ancient folklore meets thunderous amplification, where every track builds upon the last to create an immersive experience that demands repeated listening. The production strikes that perfect balance between raw power and crystalline clarity, allowing each instrument to breathe while maintaining the crushing weight that defines their sound.
