"Arvet" ("The Heritage") is an evocative work continuing from the themes explored in Grift's previous album "Syner". Composer and artist Erik Gärdefors delves deeply into existential questions, painting an intricate soundscape that traverses the human inheritance impacting both body and soul. The album eloquently captures the paradox of personal identity shaped by social, biological, and spiritual legacy. Recorded at the Eremitaget Liesmia studio, the album uniquely incorporates the psalmodicon, a rare 19th-century Swedish instrument, alongside evocative field recordings of forest wildlife such as tawny owls and foxes, lending an authentic atmosphere that intertwines nature and introspection.

Vocals by guest artists Ludvig (Forndom), Inkantator Koura (Mosaic), and Elea (Noêta, Undantagsfolk) enrich the album’s contemplative depth. The conceptual visual narrative continues with the music video for "Den stora tystnaden" ("The Great Silence"), linking to previous works.
