Limited edition digipak CD.

Background information about 'Solemn.Sacred.Severe'

Swedish doom metal titans Griftegard deliver a crushing testament to the genre's darkest traditions with their debut full-length "Solemn.Sacred.Severe". This album stands as a monument to classic doom metal craftsmanship, where every riff carries the weight of cathedral stones and every vocal line echoes through forgotten crypts. The band masterfully weaves together crushing heaviness with haunting melodies, creating an atmosphere that's both suffocating and strangely beautiful. Tracks like "Charles Taze Russel" and "Punishment & Ordeal" showcase the band's ability to build tension through extended compositions that never lose their grip on the listener.

The production perfectly captures the band's vision, allowing each instrument to breathe while maintaining that essential doom metal density. Griftegard proves that traditional doom metal still has plenty of life left in its bones, delivering songs that are both reverent to the genre's past and refreshingly vital. The album's religious and philosophical themes add layers of depth that reward repeated listening, making this a release that grows more powerful with each spin.

For fans of:
Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Count Raven, Reverend Bizarre, Doomshine
