Background information about 'Worlds to Conquer'

Cleveland, Ohio has been pumping out top-shelf heavy metal since the 1980s, and Ironflame is the real deal — carrying that torch with absolute conviction. The brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Andrew D'Cagna (also known from Brimstone Coven and Icarus Witch), Ironflame has been on an absolute tear since 2016, and "Worlds to Conquer" is their sixth full-length — and damn, does it deliver.

This record is pure, unadulterated heavy metal majesty. D'Cagna handles everything himself — all instruments, all vocals, the mixing, the mastering — and the result is astonishingly cohesive. The title track alone is a mission statement: galloping riffs, anthemic choruses, and that unmistakable feeling of fists raised toward the sky. But it's "Shadow Slave" that might just steal the show. There's a serious Dio vibe running through its veins — that driving, mid-tempo stomp that just locks in and refuses to let go. D'Cagna himself acknowledges the comparison, and honestly, it's spot-on. The man doesn't force things; he writes what he hears, what he feels, and that organic approach bleeds through every second of these eight tracks. From the ominous opener "Night Closes In" to the epic closer "Worlds to Conquer," this is heavy metal played with heart, soul, and zero pretension.
