Background information about 'Ravenous Plague'
Legion Of The Damned unleash pure sonic warfare with "Ravenous Plague", a devastating assault that proves these Dutch thrash titans are operating at their absolute peak. This is thrash metal stripped down to its most primal essence – raw, uncompromising, and brutally effective. From the opening salvo of "The Apocalyptic Surge" to the crushing finale of "Strike of the Apocalypse", every track delivers maximum impact with surgical precision.
The album showcases the band's evolution while staying true to their roots, blending classic thrash sensibilities with modern production values. Tracks like "Black Baron" and "Mountain Wolves Under a Crescent Moon" demonstrate their ability to craft memorable hooks without sacrificing an ounce of aggression. The rhythm section pounds relentlessly while the guitar work cuts through with razor-sharp riffs and blistering solos. Maurice Swinkels' vocals are absolutely ferocious, delivering each lyric with conviction that could wake the dead. This is essential listening for anyone who believes thrash metal should be dangerous, direct, and utterly unforgiving.
