For twenty years, French multi-instrumentalist and producer Gautier Serre has operated under the name Igorrr, consistently delivering music that defies categorization and challenges every preconception about genre boundaries. This steadfastly unclassifiable project represents one of the most innovative forces in contemporary music, seamlessly weaving together death metal brutality, baroque elegance, breakcore chaos, and orchestral grandeur into a singular artistic vision.

Serre's extraordinary musical universe draws equally from the compositional genius of Bach and Chopin as it does from the extreme aggression of Cannibal Corpse, Meshuggah, and Aphex Twin. This unique synthesis has earned Igorrr a devoted global following and critical acclaim across multiple musical communities. Each release represents a quantum leap forward in experimental composition, utilizing everything from church choirs and orchestras to excavators and nine-foot Buddhist ceremonial horns as instruments.

The upcoming fifth album "Amen" marks Igorrr's darkest and most ambitious work to date. Recorded in Serre's custom-built studio after years of meticulous construction, the album showcases an unprecedented level of sonic experimentation. From the crushing harsh noise contrasted with operatic vocals in "Silence" to the traditional trip-hop atmospheres with theremin and harp in "Ancient Sun," each track pushes the boundaries of what music can be. Guest appearances from Mr. Bungle's Trey Spruance and Anthrax's Scott Ian add even more layers to this already complex sonic tapestry.

Since signing to Metal Blade Records in 2017, Igorrr has evolved from Serre's solo project into a full ensemble featuring vocalists Marthe Alexandre and JB Le Bail, drummer Remi Serafino, and guitarist Martyn Clément. This collaborative approach has elevated the project's live performances to theatrical spectacles that must be experienced to be believed, combining crushing metal intensity with baroque beauty and electronic innovation.
