Background information about 'Dr. Feelgood (35th Anniversary)'

Thirty-five years on, Dr. Feelgood still hits like a sledgehammer wrapped in leopard print. Mötley Crüe walked into 1989 with everything to prove and came out with the biggest, slickest, most gloriously excessive hard rock record of their career — Bob Rock behind the desk, the riffs sharpened to a razor's edge, and a rhythm section that swings as hard as it slams. From the moment "T.n.T. (Terror 'n Tinseltown)" flickers to life you know you're in for a ride, and the title track's strutting groove remains one of the great opening salvos in the genre. "Kickstart My Heart" is pure adrenaline, "Slice Of Your Pie" and "Rattlesnake Shake" bring the sleaze, and "Without You" proves these guys could write a ballad that actually meant something.

This 35th Anniversary edition takes that landmark album and blows it wide open. The remastered original is here in full, but the real treasure sits on the second and third discs: rough demos of "Dr. Feelgood", "Get It For Free", "Kickstart My Heart" and more that let you hear the songs before the polish, plus a scorching live set drawn from the Live Around the World 1989-1990 recordings. Hearing "Same Ol' Situation (S.O.S.)" and "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)" tear through a crowd is a reminder of just how ferocious this band was on stage. For anyone who wore out their cassette copy back in the day, this is the definitive document — loud, unapologetic, and built to be played at full volume.
