Background information about 'And Death Said Live'

Finnish melodic death metal maestros Mors Principium Est are back with a vengeance, and And Death Said Live is nothing short of a statement. The album kicks off with a ferocious blend of razor-sharp riffs, thunderous blast beats, and that signature melancholic melody that only these Finns can conjure. From the moment the first track hits, you're dragged into a whirlwind of aggression and beauty - think At The Gates' melodic fury meets the atmospheric depth of Insomnium, but with a technical edge that's entirely their own.

What truly sets this record apart is how effortlessly Mors Principium Est weave together crushing heaviness and hauntingly beautiful leads. Tracks like the title track And Death Said Live and the relentless Death Is The Beginning showcase guitarist Andy Gillion's masterful songwriting, balancing pummeling brutality with soaring, cinematic melodies. The production is punchy and modern, letting every layer of guitars, drums, and Ville Viljanen's guttural growls breathe. This isn't just another melodic death metal album - it's a fiery declaration that the genre is alive, kicking, and more relevant than ever. Strap in, because this one demands to be played loud.
