Background information about 'III Warning'
Finnish metal legends Oz return with their third thunderous opus "III Warning", a masterpiece that showcases the band at their absolute peak! Originally released in 1984, this album finds the quintet firing on all cylinders with a collection of tracks that perfectly balance melodic sophistication with raw metallic power. The opening salvo "Third Warning" sets the tone immediately – this is heavy metal with serious intent and no compromise.
What makes "III Warning" so compelling is how Oz had evolved into a perfectly oiled metal machine by this point. Tracks like "Crucified", "Runner", and "Rock'n'Roll Widow" demonstrate the band's ability to craft songs that are both anthemic and aggressive, while the closing statement "Total Metal" lives up to its name with pure metallic fury. Ape DeMartini's vocals soar over the twin guitar assault of Speedy Foxx and Spooky Wolff, creating a sound that's both distinctly European and universally powerful.
