Background information about 'Borders Of Mania'

If you've been craving something that gnaws at the edges of your sanity, Red Rot have just delivered the fix. "Borders Of Mania" is the kind of record that grabs you by the collar from the very first riff and doesn't let go until the final note decays into silence. This is death metal that understands tension — not just the bludgeoning kind, but the creeping, psychological kind that burrows under your skin and stays there. The riffs are dense and relentless, yet there's a surprising sense of dynamics here, moments where the band pulls back just enough to let the dread breathe before crashing back in with full force.

The songwriting is razor-sharp, each track a tightly wound burst of aggression that rarely overstays its welcome. Tracks like "Compulsive Delusion" and "False Memory" hit with surgical precision, while deeper cuts like "Overlord" and "Misericordie" stretch out into something more atmospheric and unsettling. The production is thick and punishing, giving the low end a weight that rattles the ribcage while keeping every snarling vocal and slicing guitar line perfectly audible. It's an album that rewards repeat listens — the more time you spend with it, the more the intricacies reveal themselves. For a band operating at this level of intensity, the control and maturity on display is genuinely impressive. This is a record that deserves to be played loud, in the dark, on wax.
