Background information about 'Obscurans'

Chilean death metal has always had a certain viciousness to it, and SADISM are here to prove that point once again with their latest offering Obscurans. This is not your polished, pro-tooled death metal – this is raw, ugly, and utterly devastating. From the first riff, you're dragged into a sonic abyss where blast beats collide with cavernous growls and riffs that sound like they're being chiseled from stone. The production is thick and murky, giving the whole record a suffocating atmosphere that fits the band's morbid aesthetic perfectly.

What makes Obscurans stand out is its relentless pacing and the sheer hatred that drips from every note. There's no filler here, no ambient interludes to catch your breath – just track after track of skull-crushing death metal that pulls from the old school while still sounding fresh and menacing. The guitar work is particularly nasty, weaving tremolo-picked lines with dissonant chords that create a sense of dread and chaos. The rhythm section is a battering ram, pushing everything forward with inhuman precision. This is death metal for those who miss when the genre felt dangerous.
