About the album

"Panzerdoktrin," the debut album by Scalpture, is a raw gem in the Death Metal landscape. The band, formed in Bielefeld in 2009 by founding guitarist Felix Marbach, had a clear vision of uncompromising Death Metal. This debut already hints at the direction Scalpture would take in their subsequent releases—powerful, stomping death metal that nods to the old school while incorporating modern sound and structural approaches.

Thematically, Scalpture centers their lyrical content around war. Their lyrics are based on detailed historical research rather than glorifying stereotypes, portraying the horrors that war has brought upon humanity during its darkest hours. Despite these heavy themes, the band emphasizes modern values like tolerance, peace, and reason.
