"Eisenzeit" is the sophomore album from SCALPTURE, continuing the trajectory set by their debut while clearly displaying the band's intent to evolve beyond their initial sound. Rooted firmly in Death Metal, the album embraces intricate melodies and overwhelming heaviness. SCALPTURE, founded in 2009 in Bielefeld by guitarist Felix Marbach, has always had a clear vision: to create uncompromising Death Metal while developing a unique musical identity from the outset. True to form, every SCALPTURE album title revolves around the theme of 'war,' a subject deeply ingrained in their lyrics. Rather than glorifying stereotypes, their songs are built on extensive historical research and depict the horrors wrought by war's abyss during humanity's darkest chapters. Although war is their central theme, SCALPTURE advocates for modern values like tolerance, peace, and reason.
