Background information about 'Feldwärts'
"Feldwärts" by Scalpture represents the culmination of their hard work developed from their initial two albums. Here, the band refines their sound into a more structured, yet still brutally heavy death metal offering. Formed in Bielefeld in 2009 by guitarist Felix Marbach, Scalpture aimed for an uncompromising death metal approach. Their unique musical identity was evident from the start, with all album titles revolving around the theme of 'war'. Far from glorifying this dark subject matter, their lyrics are rooted in detailed historical research, depicting the horrors that war has brought upon humanity during its darkest moments. Despite their grim thematic focus, Scalpture promotes modern values like tolerance, peace, and reason.
Thematically rich and musically intense, "Feldwärts" offers a profound exploration of war's impact on society while delivering a relentless auditory assault. Each track showcases Scalpture's dedication to blending historical narratives with powerful metal compositions that resonate deeply with listeners. This album is an essential listen for fans of heavy music and those interested in thoughtful lyricism that challenges and stimulates.
