Background information about 'Feldwärts'
"Feldwärts" by Scalpture marks a significant evolution in the band's musical journey. Emerging from Bielefeld in 2009 with a clear vision of delivering uncompromising Death Metal, guitarist Felix Marbach has successfully steered the band towards crafting a unique sonic identity. With their third album, "Feldwärts," Scalpture advances into more refined and structured territory while maintaining their hallmark heaviness. Thematically entrenched in the horrors of war, the album's lyrics are rooted in meticulous historical research rather than glorified stereotypes. The band's commitment to modern values such as tolerance and peace shines through their brutal yet thought-provoking compositions.
The album is a relentless exploration of war's darkest moments, portraying not only the violence but also the underlying human conditions. Tracks like "To End All Wars" and "Challenging An Empire" delve into historical battles with intensity and precision. Meanwhile, songs such as "Grabengott" and "Stahlbad" offer visceral narratives that remain true to Scalpture's combat-driven ethos. As they continue to evolve musically, Scalpture remains a testament to the powerful combination of thematic depth and metal ferocity.
