Background information about 'War Master (Re-Release)'
'Warmaster' stands as a monumental testament to Bolt Thrower's mastery of death metal. Originally unleashed in the throes of 1991, this album encapsulates the relentless ferocity and raw power that have become synonymous with the band's name. From the thunderous opening track 'Unleashed (Upon Mankind)' to the haunting echoes of 'Afterlife', each song is a meticulously crafted narrative of warfare and existential dread. The reissue brings new life to these classic tracks with a remastered sound that enhances the intricate layers of guitar work and bone-crushing rhythms.
The album's themes delve deep into the chaos and brutality of war, evoking imagery that is both vivid and unsettling. Ian Cooke's iconic artwork further complements this auditory assault, encapsulating the tumultuous essence of Bolt Thrower's sonic barrage. With Colin Richardson at the helm of production, 'Warmaster' retains its position as a cornerstone in the pantheon of metal releases. This limited edition reissue is a must-have for any aficionado seeking to experience death metal in its purest form.
